Barbados is a small island. One of the world most famous tourist areas, because of the tropical climate but also the white-long beaches with the bright blue sea. Basic facts Barbados is 166 square miles divided into 11 parches. Barbados is 34 kilometers long and 23 kilometers wide and has a very varied landscape. The West Coast has long white sandy beaches and coral reefs. The east coast is dominated by rocks and the waves are often high. Barbados is relatively flat with the highest point in Mount Hillaby (340 m). The population is 264,000, National Day is November 30th.
Water - barbados is said to have the cleanest tap water, which means that it is excellent to drink. And drink you need in the heat, especially if you visit the island during the hottest period from September to December.
Price - Barbados is one of the worlds most expensive countries, it’s known for the high prices. For example one meal at a restaurant can cost between 30 -50 euro without a drink, buy things in a store can also be really expensive so before you buy or order a meal look at the prices beforehand so you won’t get a price shock!

has a very high standard for education and research which attracts lots of
students. The university is called “The
University of the West Indies” (UWI) has three campuses spread across
the Caribbean - Cave Hill (Barbados), St. Augustine (Trinidad) and Mona
(Jamaica). Plus the university has a very extensive program where you can
choose everything from science and technology, computer science, engineering,
education, medicine, law and agriculture.
